Media Officer

Purpose of the role: The role is critical for promoting the school’s brand, values, and achievements through various media channels. It encompasses marketing strategy development, content creation, social media management, public relations, and media relations.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the school.
Content Creation
- Create compelling and engaging content for various marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters and website updates.
- Write and edit press releases, articles, and other promotional materials.
Social Media Management
- Manage and update the school’s social media profiles (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn).
- Create and schedule engaging content to connect with the school community and attract prospective pupils and parents.
Advertising Campaigns
- Plan, execute, and monitor advertising campaigns across various media channels (online and print).
- Analyse campaign performance and adjust strategies to optimise results.
Public Relations
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with local media outlets, journalists, and other schools.
- Oversee the class photo process across PEPPS Schools in collaboration with an external
photographer.
Brand Management
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all school materials and communications.
- Develop, implement, and maintain brand guidelines.
Event Promotion
- Promote school events, open days, and special programs to maximise attendance and participation.
Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field will be an advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing, media, or communications.
- Proven experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content.
- Experience in brand management and public relations is advantageous.
- Previous experience within a school or educational environment will be an added advantage.
- A willingness to work within the framework and expectations set by the PEPPS Trust.
- All shortlisted candidates will be screened against the Sexual Offenders Register (Form 29/30).
