WE’RE HIRING:
Part-Time High School Design & Technology (D&T) Teacher – with Business Studies
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality Cambridge Lower Secondary, IGCSE and AS Design & Technology lessons; ability to teach Business Studies is an advantage.
- Foster innovation, creativity, and problem-solving through practical and project-based learning.
- Safely manage and maintain technical equipment (e.g. hand tools, sewing machines etc.) in line with school safety protocols.
- Design effective assessments to monitor progress and promote academic excellence.
- Collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents to support the school’s mission and learning outcomes.
- Contribute actively to the wider school community and co-curricular programme.
Requirements:
- Recognised teaching qualification and SACE registration.
- Proven experience teaching Design & Technology; Business Studies experience advantageous.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A-Level curriculum an advantage.
- Skilled in the safe use and maintenance of technical equipment (e.g. workshop tools, sewing machines, etc.).
- Technologically proficient, with experience using Google Workspace and other digital tools.
- Demonstrated strong classroom practice and ability to engage and motivate students.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative teaching. Passionate about developing STEAM subjects.
