Penryn NPC, situated in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, is an independent co-educational school with a Christian ethos, linked to the Methodist Church. Penryn is a member of ISASA and a global member of the Round Square organisation.
Penryn NPC is seeking to appoint an English Teacher with a passion for education and a desire to motivate and stimulate higher-order thinking among scholars. Self-motivated, energetic, and able to use your own initiative whilst working co-operatively as part of a team. The commencement date is 1 January 2026.
Key requirements and experience:
- Relevant professional teaching qualifications in GET and FET.
- Must be SACE registered with the relevant clearance certificates.
- Highly competent in spoken and written English.
- Knowledge of the IEB curriculum with GET and FET experience.
- Experience as an IEB moderator and marker would be advantageous.
- Must have done curriculum planning, development, and assessment.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, as well as classroom management and communication skills.
- The use and integration of technology into the classroom.
- Competence in terms of computer literacy in Google Suite and Microsoft.
- An ability to contribute to the extra-curricular programme within the school would be an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with scholars, colleagues, and parents.
- An understanding of and alignment with the values and ethos of Penryn, including a commitment to academic rigor, personal integrity, and the holistic development of students.
