The Position
Our History Department is seeking a young, dynamic teacher who is passionate about the teaching of History. The successful applicant is ideally expected to be able to take up the post at the beginning of 2026.
The responsibilities of the post are focused on:
- fostering enthusiasm for History
- maintaining a high standard of pupil achievement in History
- maintaining the high profile of History within the College and
- contributing positively to our co-curricular and pastoral care programmes
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will be in possession of a suitable qualification. The following will be advantageous:
- History teaching experience in the GETC and FET Phase of a Secondary School
- An academic qualification and a thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Registration with SACE is required.
- Police Clearance, Sexual Offenders and Child Protection clearances are all required to be submitted.
