Purpose of the Role
The Toddler Guide will support the development and well-being of our youngest learners. This role focuses on creating a safe, stimulating daily routine, modelling positive interactions, and assisting with routine care and learning activities.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Care & Environment
- Assist with classroom routines and create a warm, welcoming learning environment.
- Support safety and supervision of toddlers during activities and transitions.
Learning Support & Interaction
- Implement age-appropriate activities and learning play that promote growth across key areas.
- Model respectful communication and positive behaviour management.
Communication & Collaboration
- Maintain clear, positive communication with families about daily activities and progress.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to plan for individual needs and group learning goals.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Relevant early years or childcare qualification would be advantageous.
Experience
- Experience working with toddlers in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
Competencies
- Clear communication, teamwork, and a patient, caring approach.
- Ability to organise and follow routines with consistency.
- Flexibility and a positive attitude in a dynamic classroom environment.
