Purpose of Role
The role exists to deliver High School Life Sciences and Agricultural teaching, with the ability to teach Geography, contribute to curriculum development, and support the school community through collaborative teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Curriculum
- Plan, deliver and assess Life Sciences and Agricultural lessons to high school students
- Teach Geography where required, aligning with Waldorf methodology
- Undertake training in Waldorf methodology if not already familiar
Team & Collaboration
- Work as part of a team with fellow teachers and staff
- Engage with colleagues to support student development and wellbeing
Professional Practice
- Operate as a reflective practitioner with a focus on ongoing professional growth
- Attend relevant training and school meetings as required
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Qualified teacher with SACE registration
Experience
- Experienced and suitably qualified teacher preferred
Competencies
- Enthusiastic, innovative and self-motivated
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to undertake Waldorf training
