We invite applications for the position of EGD/Technology teacher starting 20 July 2026. We are looking for educators who combine subject expertise with a clear commitment to the school ethos and to developing young people in a supportive, innovative classroom environment.


Purpose of Role

The EGD/Technology Teacher will deliver high-quality instruction in engineering, graphics and design, and technology, contributing to the school’s ethos and vision. The role requires strong organisational skills, teamwork and a passion for mentoring learners toward leadership and service.


Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Curriculum

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Grades 8–12 in Engineering, Graphics & Design and Technology
  • Promote innovation within the subject and integrate practical, project-based learning

School Ethos & Mentoring

  • Uphold the school’s Christian ethos and support its mission to train leaders to serve nations
  • Mentor and develop learners and colleagues, contributing to a positive team culture

Administration & Collaboration

  • Maintain excellent organisational and administrative records
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to curriculum development

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Qualified educator with experience in teaching at Matric level in an IEB context preferred

Experience

  • Proven track record of positive collaboration within a team
  • Experience promoting innovation within the subject area

Competencies

  • Strong Christian convictions and alignment with the school’s ethos
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Well-developed people skills and experience mentoring others
  • Passion for working with and developing young people
