We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Intermediate Phase Teacher to join our team. This vacancy is part of our ongoing effort to support excellent teaching across the curriculum and to foster a supportive, sports‑friendly school culture. Purpose of the Role
The Intermediate Phase Teacher will plan and deliver high-quality lessons for Grade 4 and 5, contribute to a collaborative teaching environment, and support school programmes including sport coaching when required. The role supports student development within the CAPS framework and aims to create a positive, engaging classroom culture.
Key Responsibilities
Classroom Teaching
- Deliver engaging lessons aligned to the CAPS curriculum
- Assess and track student progress, providing timely feedback
Collaboration & Administration
- Work closely with colleagues to plan cross-curricular activities
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting
Coaching & Community
- Assist with sport coaching as needed
- Engage with parents and the wider school community to support learner development
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Intermediate Phase teaching qualification
Experience
- Registered with SACE
- Police Clearance
- Knowledge of CAPS curriculum
- Computer literate
Competencies
- Ability to work well within a team
- Excellent command of the English language
- Willingness to assist with sport coaching
- Professional Driving Permit
