Purpose of the Role

The Head of School provides strategic leadership, oversees daily operations and drives a high standard of teaching and learner outcomes. The role supports staff development, governance and community engagement to realise the school’s vision.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Provide strategic direction in line with the school’s mission
  • Lead and collaborate with staff to promote excellence in teaching and learning

Operations & Governance

  • Oversee day-to-day school operations and administrative systems
  • Engage with governance bodies and ensure compliance with policies

Community & Culture

  • Foster a positive school culture and strong parent partnership
  • Represent the school in the community and maintain professional standards

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Relevant degree or higher qualification in education leadership or equivalent

Experience

  • Experience in school leadership or senior management roles

Competencies

  • Strategic thinking, communication and stakeholder management
  • Organisation and decision-making with ethical judgement
  • Commitment to learner-centred education and wellbeing
