Purpose of Role

Supervise and support pupils during lunch, break and aftercare to promote health, safety and engagement. Implement SPARK culture and behaviour strategies and contribute to enriching activities, while coordinating with school leaders and families as needed.


Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Safety

  • Supervise lunch and break periods in accordance with SPARK procedures.
  • Ensure safety and orderly dismissal during aftercare, following network-wide procedures.

Healthy Choices & Program Delivery

  • Monitor and enforce SPARK’s healthy food scheme during lunchtimes.
  • Plan engaging enrichment experiences for Monday afternoon aftercare sessions.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate incidents, concerns or conflicts professionally to parents and line managers.
  • Collaborate with school leaders and staff as required.

Operational Support

  • Assist with ad hoc tasks, such as Learning Lab facilitation, covering for absent staff or event setup.
  • Participate in staff development and maintain professional conduct at SPARK events.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Studying towards a First Year B.Ed Degree preferred

Experience

  • English language fluency
  • Experience in managing or working with primary school-aged children
  • Clear criminal record
