Purpose of Role
The Intermediate Phase Blended Learning Facilitator creates a positive culture around online learning and independent work time. They support and coach students across whole-class, small-group, and individual settings to ensure engaging, rigorous learning experiences within the SPARK blended model.
Key Responsibilities
Culture & Learning Environment
- Create a positive student culture around online learning and independent work time
- Maintain high behavioural expectations and model SPARK culture and behaviour management strategies
Instruction & Collaboration
- Coach students on computer programs and ensure educational software meets student needs
- Create and submit lesson plans for project-based learning with intermediate phase teachers
- Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to develop individualised learning plans
Technology & Resources
- Utilise and manage educational resources responsibly; report hardware damages
- Optimise timetables to maximise learning time
- Engage in staff development and professional growth opportunities
Behavioural & SEL Integration
- Incorporate SPARK SEL curriculum with scholars
- Model professional conduct at events and with stakeholders
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Grade 12 certificate
- Provisional SACE registration
- Part-time study towards a B.Ed. or PGCE in the Intermediate or Senior Phase (3rd or 4th year)
Experience
- Previous experience with primary school-aged children
- Basic computer skills; willingness to learn new technology

- Fluent in English
