Purpose of Role
The Senior Phase Mathematics Educator designs and delivers engaging learning experiences, supports scholars’ academic growth, and participates in curriculum integration and character development aligned with SPARK’s vision.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Curriculum
- Plan for, teach and co-teach face-to-face and distance lessons, including clubs.
- Collaborate with grade level and content partners to create high‑quality, individualised learning plans.
- Deliver formative and termly assessments and analyse data to drive student growth.
Student Support & Wellbeing
- Lead social and emotional development through CQ sessions and reflections.
- Plan for, monitor and support low performing scholars; extend high performing scholars.
- Participate in place-based education and career/tertiary pathways activities as required.
Professional Practice
- Participate in professional development and share best practice with colleagues.
- Communicate professionally with staff, parents and stakeholders; uphold SPARK standards at events.
- Contribute to a high‑performing, values-driven school culture and effective behaviour management.
Compliance & Reporting
- Adhere to child protection, anti-bullying, health and safety policies.
- Submit student results data when required and participate in school events as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Completed B.Ed or PGCE in Mathematics
- Senior Phase or Mathematics FET qualification
Experience
- 2–3 years teaching experience in a high school setting
Competencies
- English language fluency
- SACE registration
- Clear/clean criminal record
