Adventure and event facilitator

This is a full-time position and the successful candidate will report to the Director of Co -curricular activities
Requirements
- Diploma or relevant qualification in the adventure or outdoor education field
- Valid First Aid Level 1 certification
- A B.Ed. or Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) would be advantageous
- SACE registration, would be advantageous
- Experience as an Advanced Mountain Walking Leader and River Trip Leader, would be advantageous
Responsibilities
- Assist with the delivery of Adventure classes and programmes
- Invigilate and provide cover for the schools academic programme
- Contribute to the planning and development of the Grade 8 Adventure programme
- Participate in Grade 8 and 9 expeditions, applying AML and River Trip Leader expertise
- Supervise pupils during activities on and off the school campus
- Ensure and maintain safety standards for all Dream and Do Centre activities, Stanford Lake College events, and expeditions
- Support and facilitate activities such as mountain biking, adventure racing, and kayaking
- Manage and promote the Adventure Club
- Oversee a tutor group.
- Assist with organisation and logistics for key events, including:
- The Wik Triathalon
- Wolkberg Trail Run
- Magoebaskloof MTB Classic
- MTB League
