Organizational Description
The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls (The Academy) is a worldclass educational platform for girls that is aimed at nurturing a new generation of dynamic women leaders. This residential boarding school is in Meyerton, Gauteng Province, with approximately 300 students enrolled in Grades 8 -12. Grade 12 students write the Independent Examination Board (I.E.B.) NSC Examination.

Minimum academic requirements and experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant degree specialisation in English Home Language, and proof of registration with SACE.
- Full understanding of the CAPS/IEB Grade 12 English HL curriculum, assessment standards, and examination requirements.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in teaching Grade 12 English Home Language with an ability to map the English curriculum and teach Grades 8 to 12.
- Ability to identify and bridge students’ gaps and deficits.
- Knowledge of either NCS/CAPS is essential.
Preferred requirement
- IEB or GDE teaching, NSC marking, and/or moderation.
- Willingness and ability to improve our students’ English results in one of the core assessment areas.
