GET & FET Afrikaans FAL Educator

Commencement Date: 1 January 2026

The King’s College & Preparatory School Bryanston is looking to appoint an experienced GET & FET Afrikaans FAL Educator.  The individual needs to be innovative and passionate about teaching. The ideal candidate will be an experienced teacher, with a proven track record of being able to engage successfully with learners.

The successful applicant will work in a progressive educational environment and will need to be a strong team player committed to high academic expectations and will need to support and demonstrate our K.I.N.G.S values.

Professional Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

The King’s College is looking for a candidate who has:

  • An appropriate teaching qualification and is registered with SACE.
  • Experience in a similar position (ISASA school and IEB curriculum experience will be advantageous).
  • A good knowledge of, and experience in teaching Afrikaans. Being able to teach other subjects can be an advantage.
  • A strong set of teaching skills.
  • An aptitude for innovative teaching methodologies.
  • Strong communication, written, verbal, presentation and training skills.
  • A collaborative, cooperative, and patient mind-set.
  • A willingness to participate in the extracurricular programme and all school activities.
  • A willingness to set assessments, mark and moderate examination papers.
  • Aligns with the foundational values of the school’s Christian principles.
