Internships in the High School Phase

Mathematics, Business Studies/Accounting, Physical Sciences and Sport.

At St Mary’s we are committed to developing future teachers who will have a positive impact on their students and communities. We invite candidates to apply for an Internship

in the High School Phase. The successful candidates will receive a contract to intern with St Mary’s for a year.

Date of commencement – January 2026

Applicants for the Internship must:

• Be willing to work and live in the Boarding Establishment.
• Study towards a PGCE in 2026.
• Be warm, honest, interested in school life, have an excellent work ethic and values that align to the School’s Christian ethos.
• Be flexible to assist in any aspect of teaching and be willing to manage two extra-mural activities per week.
• Be open to being mentored and coached to develop teaching skills and related competencies.
• Have a high level of competency in IT integrated teaching and be willing to learn new skills.
• Be able to work in an inclusive environment.
