De La Salle Holy Cross College is an independent South African school which embraces diversity and provides a unique educational experience. The Junior School invites applications for the following position, effective January 2026 (negotiable).

isiZulu Teacher

Requirements for this position are:

• A willingness to embrace and contribute to the ethos, values and Mission of the College.
• A recognised degree and/or a 4 year professional teaching qualification (Junior School).
• A minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience in teaching isiZulu.
• Registration with SACE (South African Council for Educators) and a valid clearance certificate with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register/Police Clearance.
• Excellent proficiency in both English and isiZulu languages.
• Strong administrative abilities coupled with excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Computer literate in the Microsoft Office Suite, Google platforms, and proficient in relevant technologies.
• Ability to design and implement a curriculum that effectively conveys a passion for isiZulu language and culture to pupils at various proficiency levels in the Foundation Phase.
• The ability to develop and sustain new and progressive teaching methodologies and work effectively within different teams to promote the holistic development of the child.
• Flexible and innovative in integrating IT, differentiation strategies, and creativity into teaching methods.
• Maintains high ethical standards and professionalism in all aspects of teaching and school responsibilities.
• Enthusiastic about leading and participating in extracurricular activities across the College and supporting all areas of school life.
