Kingsmead College is looking for an Afrikaans FAL (Gr 8 – 12) & Consumer Studies (Gr 10 – 12) Teacher – closing date is 27 of November 2025
An Independent, Christian day school situated in Melrose, Johannesburg, Kingsmead provides an excellent, all-rounded education to girls from Grade 000 to Matric.
AFRIKAANS FAL (GR 8 – 12) & CONSUMER STUDIES (GR 10 – 12) TEACHER
Term 1 or negotiable
The successful applicant must meet the following criteria:
* Have a proven track record as a highly skilled and experienced Afrikaans & Consumer Studies educator up to the Grade 12 level.
* Have the appropriate academic and professional qualifications
* Be registered with SACE
* Be proficient in Afrikaans and English
* Have a passion for Afrikaans culture
* Have a passion for aspects of the Consumer Studies subject, like hospitality, cooking and management of the Consumer Studies classroom
* Have an innovative, interactive and progressive approach to teaching Afrikaans as a First Additional Language & Consumer Studies
* Be a dynamic team member with excellent people and communication skills
* Have great IT skills and be familiar with technology in the classroom
* An ability and willingness to offer student support in and out of the classroom context
* Although IEB experience would be an advantage, we welcome DBE experience
* Able to engage fully with the ethos and culture of Kingsmead College
* Be willing to participate in the co-curricular programme offered by the school
