PART-TIME SPORTS COACHES

Christian Brothers’ College, Boksburg is an Independent Boys’ School and is seeking an energetic, skilled, enthusiastic, and hard-working PART-TIME SPORTS COACHES with the ability to coach to join our Sports Department.

PART-TIME COACHES:

Cricket, Rugby, Hockey, Basketball, and Soccer at the Primary or High School Level on a part-time basis. Practice sessions are held during the school day between 10:00 – 15:00 Monday to Friday afternoons. Matches will be played on Saturday mornings and on some days during the week.

Minimum requirements:

• Related sports qualification/s (Level 1 or Level 2);
• 2+ years coaching experience (9 – 18 years old learners); and
• Excellent communication, admin, timekeeping, and people skills.

Coaches will plan, schedule, and implement a regular program of training and attend all practices, competitions, meetings, and activities for each sporting code. Coaches will report to the Director of Sports who is responsible for training, delegating to, communicating with, encouraging the professional development of, and supervising any Coaches for the sport. Coaches will communicate and coordinate regularly with the Director of Sport and:

• Provide training rules and any other regulations and requirements to each learner;
• Create and implement training sessions that focus on improving technical proficiency, tactical awareness, and physical fitness;
• Analyse the team’s performance and provide feedback to learners;
• Develop strategies for a team’s success and prepare game plans that maximise the team’s potential;
• Mentor and motivate learners to reach their full potential;
• Collaborate with the Director of Sport and other coaches to ensure effective communication and coordination of team’s activities; and
• Maintain a safe and positive training and playing environment for all team members.
