PERIPATETIC WOODWIND TEACHER (SAXOPHONE & CLARINET)

JANUARY 2026

Pridwin Preparatory School prides itself on the high standard of music within its very active department. We seek to employ a dynamic woodwind specialist to take over teaching a well-established cohort of saxophone and clarinet pupils. Lessons take place during the mornings and early afternoons.

The successful candidate should:

  • Have a suitable music degree and experience in teaching both saxophone and clarinet students of all ages
  • Have experience in preparing candidates for Trinity Music Exams, both digital and face-to-face
  • Have experience in conducting ensembles of varying levels
  • Have excellent administrative and communication skills
  • Be able to interact positively with parents
  • Be computer literate and familiar with the Google Education Suite
  • Be willing to uphold the ethos and traditions of the school
  • Be willing to apply for clearance with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offenses Register.

It would be of benefit to:

  • Be able to play piano and be able to accompany students
  • Be able to teach additional instruments
  • Have experience in preparing students for Trinity and ABRSM Music Theory exams.
