CBC MOUNT EDMUND has the following position to offer:

Physical Science Teacher in the High School

Key competencies and responsibilities of this role include:

• A recognised science degree and/or a 4-year professional teaching qualification with either physics or chemistry as a specialisation with at least 5 years teaching experience at grade 12 level.
• Proof of registration with SACE
• A passion and vision for physical science.
• Teaching further studies physics and Grade 10 life sciences will be an advantage.
• A sound and progressive understanding of international trends and changes in education and 21st century learning.
• Teaching at an IEB school will be advantageous.
• Create classroom communities where all members of the class are valued and contribute to the creation of knowledge.
• Evaluate, reflect on, and refine teaching practice.
• Knowledge in creating varied and innovative learning programmes and assessment.
• Be innovative, embrace technology in the classroom and display a creative teaching style, that supports Hybrid Learning. Microsoft 365 certification or experience is advantageous.
• Strong organisational, administrative and time management skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and a willingness to contribute to a dynamic team.
• Ability to build healthy relationships with staff, students, and parents.
• Willing to contribute to the wider life at the school, with the ability, skills, and experience to become actively involved in the school’s co-curricular activities.
• Being a practicing Catholic will be advantageous.
• Willing to support, promote and work within the Catholic Ethos of the School.
