About the Role:
Laerskool Midstream Ridge is an independent, parallel medium values-driven school that embraces the ISASA ethos of quality, diversity, and holistic education. We seek an innovative and enthusiastic Robotics Teacher who can inspire curiosity and creativity in young learners — and who is also willing to contribute to our boys’ sport programme through coaching and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver an engaging Robotics curriculum for primary school learners (Grades 4-7).
• Introduce learners to programming, engineering design, electronics, and problem-solving in practical, age-appropriate ways.
• Integrate robotics projects across different learning areas to promote interdisciplinary thinking.
• Organise or support events such as robotics competitions, showcases, or technology days.
• Coach a boys’ sport (preferred) — focusing on teamwork, skill development, and sportsmanship.
• Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
• Participate in school activities, staff collaboration, and professional development in line with ISASA best practices.

Requirements:

• A relevant teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Robotics, Coding, subjects at primary school level (advantageous).
• Familiarity with robotics platforms.
• A passion for sport and experience coaching boys’ teams will be an advantage.
• Effective communication skills in AFRIKAANS and ENGLISH.
• A growth mindset, curiosity, and a commitment to holistic education that blends technology, creativity, and sport.
