School Uniform Shop Coordinator

(Part-Time Position)

Commencement Date: 1 January 2026

Waterkloof House Preparatory School (WHPS) is a traditional, Christian school specialising in the education of boys from Grade 0-7, and Pre-Prep boys and girls, within a nurturing, close-knit environment where future leaders are shaped with care and purpose.

We are currently seeking to appoint a friendly, organised and customer-oriented individual to support the smooth running of our daily uniform shop operations.

Key duties include:

  • Providing friendly, professional service to parents, pupils, and staff visiting the shop.
  • Managing all aspects of the School Uniform Shop, including daily operations, stock control, financial administration, and online shop orders.
  • Assisting with uniform fittings and purchases, ensuring compliance with the school’s dress code.
  • Receiving and displaying stock neatly; monitoring levels and ordering when replenishment is needed.
  • Work closely with the Sport Department regarding sport clothing requirements for the sports seasons and coaches and with the Admissions Department regarding new pupil uniform requirements.
  • Coordinate with uniform suppliers to address queries, monitor order progress, and ensure the quality and accuracy of all supplies.
  • Maintaining the shop and storeroom in a clean, organised, and welcoming condition.
  • Managing second-hand uniform items, including sorting, pricing, and sales records.
  • Supporting general administrative and operational tasks as required.

Position Requirements:

  • A dynamic, energetic, enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal, administration and organisational skills and a sound work ethic.
  • Proficient in the English language with good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office 365 .
  • Knowledge of financial systems and Point of Sales (Pastel or similar) would be an advantage.
  • Confident with numbers and attentive to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of textiles and fabrics, with the ability to assess quality and durability of school uniform items.
  • Able to lift stock, stand for periods, and access storage safely.
  • Professional, friendly, and patient with students, parents, and staff.
