Purpose of Role
The Supervisor oversees lunch, break and aftercare to support student achievement, health and safety. They help create a positive SPARK culture, supervise activities, and coordinate with school leaders to deliver engaging, structured experiences for scholars.
Key Responsibilities
Administration & Safety
- Supervise lunch and break periods during the instructional day
- Ensure the healthy food scheme is followed by checking lunches
- Follow network-wide safety procedures during aftercare
Student Support & Enrichment
- Supervise a class during aftercare, including homework and structured activities
- Plan engaging enrichment experiences for longer Monday afternoon aftercare
- Ensure resources are used responsibly and effectively
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate professionally with parents and line managers about incidents or concerns
- Collaborate with school leaders and staff as required
- Assist with ad hoc tasks, such as Learning Lab support or event setup
Compliance & Development
- Maintain professional conduct at SPARK events and with stakeholders
- Participate in staff development opportunities
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Grade 12 certificate
Experience
- English language fluency
- Previous experience managing or working with primary school-aged children
- Clear criminal record
