Purpose of Role
The College Counsellor provides strategic guidance and support to students in the College phase. They help with academic planning, personal development, and career exploration to ensure learners are well prepared for future study and life.

Key Responsibilities
Student Support & Guidance
- Offer confidential counselling to students on academic and personal development.
- Support learners with guidance on subject choices, options, and career pathways.
Administration & Coordination
- Maintain accurate student records and manage counselling documentation.
- Coordinate counselling-related activities within the College, including workshops and career talks.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and the Head of School to align student support with school goals.
- Provide timely updates and reports on student progress and needs.

Minimum Requirements
Education
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in psychology, guidance, or education.
Experience
- Previous experience in student counselling or guidance roles is desirable.
Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills
- Organisation and confidentiality
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
