Purpose of Role
The Children’s House Lead Guide will oversee a 3–6 Montessori classroom, ensuring a prepared, peaceful work cycle and a nurturing environment. You will mentor co-teachers, communicate effectively with parents, and uphold safeguarding and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
Classroom Leadership & Environment
- Lead and maintain an authentic Montessori Primary environment for ages 3–6.
- Protect and model Montessori work cycle principles and classroom routines.
- Demonstrate calm, consistent leadership grounded in respect and clear boundaries.
Team Development & Collaboration
- Lead, develop, and support co-teachers/assistants with professionalism and care.
- Collaborate with Thai coteachers in a bilingual setting where appropriate.
Parent Communication & Community
- Communicate warmly and respectfully with parents; lead conferences with confidence.
- Support parent education sessions or community events when needed.
Planning, Observation & Records
- Plan effectively, observe student progress, and maintain accurate records and preparation.
- Apply a strong understanding of child development and Montessori classroom culture.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Montessori Primary qualification (AMI or equivalent) or substantial Montessori 3–6 lead guide experience.
Experience
- Experience leading a 3–6 classroom and upholding Montessori work cycle principles.
- Experience developing co-teachers/assistants and engaging with parents.
Competencies
- Strong English communication (spoken and written).
- Solid understanding of child development and Montessori culture.
- Calm, consistent classroom leadership with clear boundaries.
- Organised with planning, observation, records, and preparation.
- Warm, respectful parent communication and confidence in leading conferences.
- Alignment with Esara’s values; safeguarding and professional conduct.
