Full Time Occupational Therapist:
Orion College (Remedial and Assisted Learning School), in Randpark Ridge, is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team. This team provides an integrated service to learners in the primary school, and works closely with teachers and parents to meet the needs of each individual learner. The ideal candidate will have experience working in schools, or with children of primary school age. Knowledge of, or training in Sensory Integration, is an advantage. Come and join this dynamic and high-quality therapy department.
Position starting in January 2026.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Up-to-date registration with the HPCSA
- Fluent in English (spoken and written language)
- Good time management skills
- Police Clearance
- Applicants should be available for orientation and handover as soon as possible
Job expectations include:
- Treating +/- 40 children a week in individual and group settings
- Assessment and report writing
- Working in an MDT
- Attend and contribute to Panel Meetings (feedback sessions) with the team and parents
- Record keeping to HPCSA and school standards
- Planning weekly treatment sessions
- Contributing towards IEP’s
- Maintaining CPD points
