MATHEMATICS TEACHER (GRADE 6–12)

Johannesburg Polytech Institute (JPI) invites applications for a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher capable of teaching from Grade 6 to Grade 12. This position is suitable for experienced educators or newly qualified 2025 graduates who demonstrate strong subject knowledge, classroom management, and commitment to learner success.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics across Grades 6–12 in alignment with the CAPS curriculum.
- Prepare and deliver engaging, learner-focused lessons that promote conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills.
- Develop lesson plans, assignments, and assessments; record and monitor learner progress.
- Provide academic support, feedback, and enrichment opportunities to diverse learners.
- Participate actively in extracurricular and co-curricular activities.
- Maintain effective communication with parents, guardians, and school leadership.
- Uphold the school’s ethos of academic excellence, discipline, and integrity.
Requirements
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Mathematics major (PGCE or equivalent qualification).
- 2 Years’ experience
- SACE registration and Police Clearance Certificate are mandatory.
- Demonstrated competence in teaching Mathematics at both Senior Phase and FET Phase levels.
- Proficiency in ICT integration, digital teaching tools, and assessment methods.
- Excellent classroom management, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain high professional standards
- Computer literate and able to integrate technology into lessons.
