Part Time – High Performance Cricket Coach

St Alban’s College invites applications for the position of Part Time- High Performance Cricket Coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the school’s elite cricket programme, coaching top teams, mentoring emerging players, and contributing to the holistic development of young sportsmen.

This is an exciting opportunity for passionate and driven coach to work within a school sports environment that values excellence, teamwork, and integrity both on and off the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach and manage one of the school’s top cricket teams.
  • Plan, structure, and implement high performance training programmes aligned with the school’s sporting philosophy.
  • Conduct technical, tactical, and conditioning sessions to enhance player performance.
  • Analyse match footage, monitor performance data, and provide detailed player feedback.
  • Identify and mentor talented players, developing pathways for provincial and national selection.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Cricket, High Performance Manager and other coaching staff to ensure programme alignment.
  • Lead teams on local, regional, and national tours or festivals.
  • Uphold and promote the values, professionalism, and culture of St Alban’s College.

Minimum Requirements

  • Cricket South Africa (CSA) Level 2 or Level 3 Coaching Certificate (or international equivalent).
  • Proven track record of coaching success at school, academy, or provincial level.
  • Strong understanding of modern cricket coaching principles and athlete management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate, mentor, and develop players across skill levels.
  • Police Clearance Certificate
  • First Aid and Safeguarding certification (advantageous).
