Pre-Primary Teacher Assistant
to commence duties in: Term 1 of 2026
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Assist the teacher in the classroom from 07h30 – 13h30 daily, as required by individual teachers.
- Supervise children attentively during classroom and outdoor activities.
- Accompany and attend co-curricular activities with pupils.
- Assist with discipline.
- Encourage deep and meaningful play while children are engaged in outdoor activities.
- Help with hygiene, toilet routine, and general classroom cleanliness.
- Set up activities in the classroom and on the playground.
Required qualifications, competencies and experience:
- A Police Clearance certificate will be required.
- Be passionate about education and working with children.
- Proven organisational and administration skills.
Advantageous:
- Proficiency in computer literacy.
- Teaching experience in Independent Schools would be an advantage.
- Experience working within an ECD.
- Basic First Aid and childcare training.
