Pridwin Preparatory School is a leading boys’ prep school situated in Melrose in Johannesburg. It prepares boys for entry into the top high schools in the country. Many of our boys also gain entry into prominent high schools in other parts of the world.
The successful candidate should be an individual with energy, integrity and vision; who can competently meet the learning needs of our boys in a creative and innovative manner.
THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE:
- A suitable professional qualification and a SACE Registration Certificate;
- An ability to lead and grow the science department within the academic programme of the school;
- An ability to integrate science into the school’s INTEGR8 programme;
- Excellent communication skills;
- A commitment to promote a high standard of teaching and learning;
- A sound and progressive understanding of the South African curriculum and international trends in education;
- Good organisational and administrative skills;
- The ability to foster and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders;
- A willingness to participate in the broader life of the school;
- Clearance certificate in terms of the Sexual Offences Act.
THE FOLLOWING COMPETENCIES WILL BE ADVANTAGEOUS:
- An ability to coach boys’ sports;
- Competence in additional teaching areas other than Science.
