The big day: siSwati FAL P1 2025 exam date
Listen closely, this is very crucial! Your siSwati First Additional Language Paper 1 (P1) exam for 2025 is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Make sure you mark this date down everywhere. The exam will start bright and early at 09:00 in the morning. That 09:00 is not for arriving, it’s for starting, so you must be seated and ready by then. No time for lollygagging around!
Getting ready, kuvalwa emnyango
Preparation is the key, ngempela. Don’t wait until the last minute. Start your revision now. Go through all your notes, especially the ones on grammar, comprehension, and creative writing. Practice writing essays, summaries, and short stories in siSwati. The more you write, the more comfortable you’ll become with expressing your thoughts clearly. Remember to use past papers; those are your best friends for understanding the exam format and what the examiners expect.
To help you plan your study time for all your subjects, it’s a good idea to download the full timetable. You can get the official 2025 Matric Grade 12 Timetable right here, just click the link: Matric Grade 12 Timetable Download. Print it out, put it on your wall, make sure it’s always visible. Don’t let anything catch you by surprise.
Set reminders on your phone, write it on your calendar at home, tell your parents or guardians the date so they can help you keep track. There’s no excuse for forgetting the date or time. Make sure you know exactly where your exam centre is and how long it takes to get there. Plan for traffic or any unexpected delays. It’s always better to be early than to be rushing and stressed.
Before the exam hall, ngaphambi kwe-exam hall
The night before the exam, try to relax. Don’t pull an all-nighter; your brain needs rest to perform at its best. Get a good night’s sleep. Make sure you have a balanced meal. In the morning, eat a good breakfast. A hungry mind cannot focus. Avoid anything that might make you feel anxious. Keep a positive mindset; you’ve worked hard for this!
On the exam day, usuku lwe-exam
You need to arrive at the exam venue at least an hour before the scheduled start time of 09:00. This gives you plenty of time to find your seat, settle down, use the restroom if needed, and calm any last-minute nerves. Listen very carefully to the invigilator’s instructions. They are there to help you, but also to ensure a fair process for everyone. If you have any questions, raise your hand and ask quietly. Remember, no talking to other candidates, no sharing of stationery, and absolutely no cheating. That kind of thing can ruin your whole matric journey, and we don’t want that for you, cha!
What to take with, yini loyitfwalako
For your siSwati FAL P1 exam, you’ll be doing a lot of writing, so make sure you’re properly equipped. Here’s a little checklist of things to pack into your clear pencil case:
- Your valid Identity Document (ID) or your official exam admission letter. No ID, no exam, simple as that.
- At least two black ballpoint pens. Make sure they are working well; you don’t want to run out of ink in the middle of your tindzaba (essays).
- A blue ballpoint pen, also a spare.
- A pencil and an eraser, just in case you need to make some notes before finalising your answers, especially for planning your longer responses.
- A ruler. Sometimes, drawing a line or planning a layout helps.
- A clear bottle of water. Staying hydrated helps with concentration. No fizzy drinks, please, and no labels on the bottle.
- A small, clear bag of essential medication if you have any, with a doctor’s note, and declare it to the invigilator.
Leave your cell phone at home, or switch it off completely and put it in your bag, far away from your desk, as per the invigilator’s instructions. Having it on you, even if it’s off, could get you into trouble.
You’ve got this! Just breathe, focus, and remember everything you’ve learned. We wish you all the best for your siSwati FAL P1 exam and for your entire matric year!
