Purpose of Role

This role exists to deliver NSC Matric History for the period July to December 2026. The successful candidate will teach History to NSC Matric students, either one-to-one or in small groups, in alignment with the school ethos.


Key Responsibilities

Teaching

  • Deliver NSC Matric History to taught cohorts during July–December 2026
  • Plan and assess student progress, adapting methods to individual needs

Student Support

  • Work independently with students and in small groups to support learning

Professional Qualities

  • Be creative, innovative and committed to the school ethos

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • NSC academic qualifications

Experience

  • SACE registered
  • Ideally Grade 12 CAPS History teaching experience
  • Ideally experience as an NSC Matric History marker

Competencies

  • Ability to work individually with students as well as with smaller groups
  • Creativity, innovation and commitment to the school ethos

Remuneration & Benefits

  • Remuneration and benefits to be discussed at appointment
  • Temporary, fixed-term engagement from July to December 2026
