An exciting partnership has been formed between the Gauteng City Region Academy (GCRA), the Health and Welfare Sector Education and Training Authority (HWSETA), and BlackBark Productions to create an ECD teachers programme 2023 as part of Nasi ispani vacancies drive.
They have started a special program to help young people find jobs and train teachers for ECD centres. The program’s main goal is to make sure each ECD centres has at least one fully trained teacher.
They plan to recruit about 2,800 young people for comprehensive training. After completing the program, these individuals will be placed in registered and compliant ECD centres.

The big problem in Gauteng and South Africa as a whole, is the lack of qualified teachers, which affects children’s learning and development. Requirements to apply for ECD teachers programme
To be eligible, the applicant must have successfully finished their high school education, or matriculated in any of Gauteng schools.
In addition to having completed their high school education in Gauteng, it is also required that the applicant is a resident of Gauteng. This means that they must currently live in Gauteng and have established their primary residence in the province.
